Becoming a district court judge is a huge honor which carries great responsibility and is not something I seek out lightly. I have spent the majority of my professional career in public service and sincerely believe that I can deliver a unique perspective to the bench, formed by some rather unconventional life experiences that would be an asset to the Nevada judiciary and the community it serves. If elected, I will first and foremost always respect the people that appear before me and apply the law in a fair, just and equal manner. I will do so with the confidence of someone who has never been afraid to take chances when warranted, but who respects the legal system and the importance it plays in people’s lives – everyday.
Currently working at the Nevada Attorney General's Office, I am dedicated to the rule of law and the obligation to assure justice for all Nevada citizens. I firmly believe in the wisdom of Justice Sotomayor’s call to action when she stated “we educated, privileged lawyers have a professional and moral duty to represent the underrepresented in our society, to ensure that justice exists for all, both legal and economic justice.” From my time as a volunteer in the U.S. Peace Corps through working as an attorney for the State of Nevada, I have tried to do just that and serving as a district court judge is the next step in that public service. I invite you to visit the other pages on my website to learn more about me, and I thank you sincerely for your time and your consideration.
